I received the following information from the Our Town Energy Alliance. Looks like a great way to help neighbors in need of support this winter.
As you know, this is going to be another tough winter for our senior citizens and low income families. The State has organized an ambitious weatherization program for 5000 homes but they need volunteers for five weekends in November. If you have the time and would like to help out for one or more weekends sign up here: http://www.staywarmnh.org/. Chores might include weatherstripping, taking air conditioners out of windows, etc.
Also listed at this website are many resources available to assist those in need with winter heating costs.
